    The General Maintenance position is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the facility, equipment and grounds in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures and for assuring that a successful maintenance program is upheld at all times.

Residents enjoy amenities and services found in few retirement communities for people with low-incomes such as transportation, gardening areas, complimentary laundry facilities, and chaplain services. The older adults who live in our Affordable Living communities are given the opportunity to live and flourish in a friendly, loving environment.



    • Performs routine maintenance and repairs of the facility and equipment, including, but not limited to, painting, plumbing, electrical wiring and carpentry, observing all safety standards and policies.
    • Performs general maintenance and/or housekeeping duties in apartments on turnover and at other time as needed.
    • Performs routing maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as necessary.
    • As an ERS team member, upholds the philosophy of Person Centered Care while performing duties; whenever possible acts to restore and/or provide Purpose, Choice and Freedom to our residents.




    •Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
    •Must have 2 years in related field
    •Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language
    •Must be able to push, pull or lift 50 pounds regularly and over 100 pounds occasionally
    •Must have a valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation.
    •Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents based at whatever behavior or acuity level they are currently functioning
    •Must be able to relate to and provide excellent customer service to older adults
