ERS is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic professional to fill the position of Regional Maintenance Supervisor. The position will work with the flexibility to manage maintenance needs at ERS senior living communities such as Canterbury Court, Shawnee Place, Cambridge Heights and Parkview Place senior living communities (in the Dayton OH, Columbus OH and Anderson IN areas). The position will manage a regional maintenance team of ten employees.
The Regional Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and managing maintenance to ensure the communities, equipment and grounds are maintained in a safe and effective manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local guidelines and regulations, ERS’s established policies and procedures, and to assure that a successful maintenance program is upheld at all times.
Location: Flexibility is required to serve the needs of communities in a growing regional area. The position is full-time 40 hours each week. Flexibility to travel for day trips in the I-70 region between Anderson, Indiana and Cambridge Heights, Ohio is required. There will be occasional over-night travel. However, approximately 50% of the work will take place within one hour of Dayton, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity for a maintenance leadership role with a growing organization!

•Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma
•Must possess, as a minimum, one year safety management experience and be knowledgeable of safety regulations
•Must possess knowledge of maintenance related trades with at least 3 years experience
•Must be willing to work flexible hours
•Must support team and process based organizational culture
•Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language
•Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position
•Must be able to push, move and/or lift a minimum of 75 lbs. to a minimum height of 3 ft. and be able to push, pull, move and/or lift such weight a minimum distance of 100 ft.
•Must possess a valid driver’s license
•Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise non-professional personnel
•Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the essential functions of the position can be fully met
•Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility
•Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
•Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
•Must be able to maintain regular attendance
