The Facilities Operations Specialist supports the Affordable Living facilities management operations by assisting community managers, maintenance supervisors and the Director of Facilities Management in maintaining detailed records and operational handbooks, processing orders and equipment requisitions, inputting data for regular and preventative maintenance systems, and ensure communication of standard and emergency requests to team members and vendors.

Our Affordable Living communities are wonderful places for older adults to live and flourish in safe, friendly neighborhood communities. Residents enjoy amenities and services found in few retirement communities for people with low-incomes such as transportation, gardening areas, complimentary laundry facilities, and chaplain services. The older adults who live in our Affordable Living communities are given the opportunity to live and flourish in a friendly, loving environment.
Knowledge of HUD, HOME, Metropolitan Housing and tax credit regulations preferred
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language and follow written/oral instructions
Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Must be willing to work flexible hours
Must support team and processed based organizational culture
Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and push up to 25 pounds or a regular basis, stand and move intermittently throughout the work day
Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively and harmoniously with other personnel
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and general public
Must not pose a direct threat to the health of safety of other individuals in the workplace
Must be able to maintain regular attendance
