    The primary purpose of the Floor Care Tech position is to assure that our facility and all floor surfaces are maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Is responsible for maintaining the appearance of hallways and corridors and all flooring surfaces, cleaning and removing all spots in common areas and in resident rooms, and cleaning and waxing all hard services on as needed basis in common areas and rooms, ensuring that established Infection Control and safety practices are followed at all times, including using “Wet Floor” signs every time a floor has been claimed and removing promptly when floor is dry.
    • Cleans rooms and common areas on weekly scheduled days.
    • Performs terminal cleaning procedures, as instructed, when a resident is discharged and/or transferred to another room/area.
    • Assures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
    • Responsible for routine maintenance of all floor care equipment and other housekeeping equipment that you are using.

    Qualifications

    • Must have previous floor care experience
    • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
    • Must be a minimum of (18) years of age
    • Ability to read and write at an 8th grade reading level required
    • Must be able to understand the English language and speak the language in an understandable manner
    • Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met
    • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism
    • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and general public
