    We are growing! ERS is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic professional to fill the position of Community Manager at our newest location Sunrise Terrace.  We provide beautiful and safe senior living communities for elders in our Cincinnati communities.


    The primary purpose of this position is to celebrate and care for the elders in each community. We offer a unique blend of wellness services, life enrichment activities and spiritual services to our residents. The Community Manager will oversee and manage operations in accordance with HUD and tax credit regulations, is responsible that the services and facilities are maintained in accordance with ERS standards, and ensures that resident satisfaction remains at or exceeds expected levels.


    • Develops staffing plan, recruits, manages, develops and evaluates team members directly reporting to the position.
    • Markets the facility in our target area; maintains census and waitlist to ensure occupancy levels are maintained at budgeted levels. Manages the waitlist, to include processing applications and giving tours.
    • Keeps informed and updated on all RD and tax credit regulations and policies and ensures that all residents comply with the lease, house rules, pet rules and all other policies of the Community in accordance with RD regulations.
    • Ensures all recertification papers are signed and sent out as mandated by RD/LIHTC regulations. Verifies receipt of needed information prior to each resident’s recertification date.
    • Completes RD billing monthly on time.
    • Ensures that operations are maintained within the annual budget.
    • Ensures that monthly rent statements and other accounts receivables notifications are printed, verified, and distributed on a monthly basis.
    • Approves accounts payable in a timely manner so that vendors are paid by the due dates.
    • Interprets the Community’s policies and procedures for residents, family members and visitors.
    • Forms and supports the Resident Council. Ensures creation of monthly activity calendar and assists with activities as requested/needed.
    • Supports a wellness environment in the Community through a Wellness Committee.
    • Develops and maintains relationships with local government officials and community groups.


    • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Two years of experience in a similar role or a role working in service to others preferred
    • Knowledge of RD and tax credit regulations preferred
    • Must be willing to work flexible hours
    • Must support team and process based organizational culture
    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language
    • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
    • Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise personnel
    • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the essential functions of the position can be fully met
    • Must be able to relate to and work with the elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility
    • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
    • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
    • Must be able to maintain regular attendance
