    The Episcopal Church Home of Louisville Kentucky is seeking candidates for the role Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Partner on the Human Resources team.  The primary purpose of the position is to manage employee relations and engagement, and to execute effective talent acquisition strategies and objectives for ECH. The position serves as a resource to both hiring managers and staff to achieve optimal staffing goals and cultural alignment. The position works as an integral member of the ERS Human Resources team and will partner with the ECH Leadership team to ensure outstanding customer service and HR support.  If you have a passion for serving in an organization that provides care to older adults, we would like to learn more about you!


    For more than 135 years, the Episcopal Church Home has served the Louisville community and its seniors by providing the highest level of care.  Over the years ECH has earned a reputation in senior living for the highest quality care and service delivered by caring and compassionate professionals. ECH is a multi-level senior living community located on Westport Road in Louisville and includes the Dudley Square Patio Homes, personal care and skilled nursing rooms, and the Memory Care Center of Excellence. ECH also provides short-term rehabilitation therapy, as well as family and community support groups and services.   


    • Supports high quality and timely hiring goals through a multi-channel recruiting approach that includes employee referral, social media, networking resources, job fairs, colleges and universities, military events and industry specific avenues.
    • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals; partner and meets weekly with ECH hiring managers; is proactive and seeks input from hiring managers; responds to the needs of hiring managers with a high level of timeliness and accuracy.
    • Manages requisition process; reviews a high-volume candidate pipeline effectively using our applicant tracking system (ATS); reviews candidates with a high quality and timely process, uses business writing and marketing strategy to create job postings; closes out requisitions.
    • Critically reviews resumes, forwards qualified candidates hiring managers, as needed interviews candidates (by phone or in person), coordinates and interprets pre-employment assessments and advises on hiring decisions.
    • Works to positively impact employee engagement and culture; provides employee relations support to leaders and staff.
    • Promotes ERS/ECH’s employment brand and coordinates and markets the EARN MORE employee referral program; provides follow up communication with gratitude to staff who have referred applicants.
    • Assists with internal employee communication, provides assistance with employee engagement and internal communications efforts including Interlink.
    • Assists with onboarding activities with new employees to include meeting with new hires, providing offer letters, Ultipro input, and new hire orientation.
    • Assists with talent acquisition metrics.  Creates open position and turnover report, and communicates career opportunities to employees.
    • Uses traditional and non-traditional resources to ensure diversity strategies are met which will enable the organization to attract quality candidates such as career fairs, on-line job fairs, community network events.  Leverages use of technology to support regional staffing and onboarding needs; promotes the use of social media and the employee portal.
    • Builds a positive candidate experience; follows up with candidates; oversees communication with unsuccessful candidates.
    • Works in partnership with ERS Manager, Talent Acquisition and Staff Development to create effective employer brand focused communications and advertisements.
    • Reviews content of job descriptions with hiring managers for accurate content and position requirements.
    • Provides critical thinking and excellent customer service in regards to human resources at this campus.
    • Serves as an staff relations liaison and works to protect and maintain ECH’s desired culture.
    • Coordinates Staff ECH-wide recognition activities, such as staff recognition month.
    • Assists with ongoing HR generalist related duties including performance management matters, workers’ compensation, benefits and compliance issues, employee relations and staff recognition programs.
    • Maintains confidentiality in all human resource and business matters.
    • Provides superior customer service to all residents, staff and visitors.
    • Actively seeks to build relationships with ERS staff and residents.
    • Develops awareness of senior living and senior services industry.


    • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communications, Business or related field required
    • A minimum of 1 year talent acquisition experience required, specifically sourcing candidates though community partnerships and social media, 3 years preferred
    • 1 year employee relations / engagement experience preferred
    • HR certification, PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred
    • Experience demonstrating strong internal communication skills including interpersonal savvy, public speaking and business writing required
    • Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service required
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite required
    • Previous experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS) required
    • Proficient with social media recruitment required
    • Experience working in a service oriented and mission centered organization preferred
    • HR generalist experience preferred
    • Experience with culture change preferred
    • Proven creative ability in sourcing candidates and success recruiting in a high volume environment, and an ability to manage a diverse requisition load
    • Strong community networking relationships preferred
    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate very effectively in the English language.
