    The Director of Resident Health Services and Strategic Partnerships, AL is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of health services operations and oversite of strategic health services partnerships within ERS Affordable Living communities where a culture of respect and responsiveness is highlighted for both residents and staff and ensures the accomplishment of quality, clinical, financial, staff and resident satisfaction, and strategy outcomes. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership to the organization by planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing affordable living communities’ overall health initiatives, ministry partnerships, service coordination, activities, volunteers, wellness and spiritual care processes. Shares responsibility for community culture and resident relations.

Residents enjoy amenities and services found in few retirement communities for people with low-incomes such as transportation, gardening areas, complimentary laundry facilities, and chaplain services. The older adults who live in our Affordable Living communities are given the opportunity to live and flourish in a friendly, loving environment.


    • Responsible for ensuring ongoing innovation in ERS’s model of healthcare delivery for Affordable Living
    • Responsible for developing and managing community partnerships that result in our residents having access to quality services and supports
    • Responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring health care metrics to ensure resident health outcomes
    • Leads Affordable Living’s journey in Person Centered Care Principles, giving freedom, choice and purpose to those we serve
    • Plans, organizes, evaluates and directs day to day functions according to policies, procedures and applicable regulatory and statutory requirements
    • Develops staff organization plan and is responsible for recruiting, managing, training, developing and evaluating team members including contract relationships. (i.e., home care agencies, , COA). Provides leadership and supervision to employees of assigned affordable housing communities. Performs performance evaluations and assists with site-level employees. Delegates administrative authority, responsibility and accountability to other staff personnel as prudent and necessary
    • Works collaboratively with the AL Director of Compliance and the Director of AL Residential Facilities to ensure the smooth and collaborative operation of each community
    • Is accountable for the successful operation of designated processes including financial controls of the annual capital budget, budgetary process and performance against budget. In collaboration with accounting, responsible for overseeing service coordination grant budgets and renewals
    • Oversees grant spending and administrative requirements in all areas of responsibility
    • Assists the Vice President of Affordable Living & In-home Services in developing an annual strategic plan including objectives, action plan and financial plan
    • Serves on the risk management team for affordable living. Responsible for investigation and follow up on reportable events
    • Maintains effective relations with residents, families, staff, Board members, health care partners, insurance companies, COA, volunteers, donors and others


    • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health services, social work or other related field required
    • Experience in business development in a home health or anther healthcare setting preferred
    • Five years of experience in a leadership role preferred
    • Must be proficient in technology skills
    • Knowledge of HUD, Fair Housing and LIHTC preferred
    • Familiar with laws, regulations and guidelines governing personnel administration
    • Working knowledge of accounting concepts, planning and quality improvement and assurance
    • Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies etc.
    • Able to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language
    • Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs on a regular basis and 50 lbs occasionally
